Prayer to St. Gabriel
the Archangel
St. Gabriel is an archangel whose name means the Power
of God. He appeared four times in the Bible both in
the form of a man and an angel.
The following prayer is recited by many Catholics, asking
for spiritual strength and guidance. Wearing a St. Gabriel
medal or a St. Gabriel necklace helps followers of Jesus
gain a stronger sense of faith from St. Gabriel who
works through the Power of God.
A Prayer for Spiritual Strength
I greet you, holy Angel Saint Gabriel, who comforted
Jesus in His agony, and with you I praise the most Holy
Trinity for having chosen you from among all the holy
Angels to comfort and strengthen Him Who is the comfort
and strength of all that are in affliction. By the honor
you enjoyed and by the obedience, humility, and love
with which you assisted the sacred Humanity of Jesus,
my Savior, when He was fainting with sorrow at seeing
the sins of the world and especially my sins, I beg
of you to obtain for me the perfect sorrow for my sins.
Strengthen me in the afflictions that now weigh upon
my soul, and in all other trials, to which I shall be
exposed in time to come and, in particular, in my final
agony. Holy Angel who strengthened Jesus Christ our
Lord, come and strengthen me also.
St. Gabriel Prayer
The following prayer to St. Gabriel the Archangel asks
for his protection from danger. Wearing a St. Gabriel

St. Gabriel.
St. Gabriel, O Captain and Leader of the armies of
heaven, unworthy as we are, we beseech you without cease
to surround us with your intercession and cover us beneath
the shelter of the glory of your ethereal wings. We
bend our knee and cry out with perseverance: "Deliver
us from danger, O Prince of the Powers on high!"
