St. Eugene de Mazenod

St. Eugene was born in 1782. He lived in a time when divorce was not usually done. St. Eugene is the patron saint of families in crisis. Many Catholics wear a St. Eugene medal, praying for his intercession in keeping their families strong in faith and love for one another.

Giving a St. Eugene pendant to young families is an ideal way to show support for the families and a reminder to them to pray for guidance in times of trouble.

St. Eugene de Mazenod and the Oblates

St. Eugene founded the Oblates of Mary Immaculate to help the poor and needy in France after the French Revolution. He worked at restoring their faith and their bodies after such a horrific war.

Passionately in love with your Son Jesus and sharing in his compassion for humanity Eugene put himself unconditionally at the service of the Church for the evangelization of these most in need.

Through his intercession help us to reach out with the healing touch of Christ who calls us to holiness and to Mission.

May we build communities which are signs of your presence, and share the Good News of salvation with all peoples.
