Gold rosary bracelet beadRosary
beads were worn as jewelry during the middle ages. Made from gold, coral and many
other precious metals and stones, they were worn either around the neck as a necklace
or around the wrist or upper arm as a bracelet. The rosary beads were still a
tool of prayer but wealthier parishioners used them also to display what they
could afford to passers-by. In fact, rosary bead necklaces and bracelets became
so openly ostentatious, that at least one canon read out an edict forbidding rosary
beads to be worn as jewelry. Today we don't see rosary necklaces, although many
a Catholic child can be seen leaving school after a rosary class wearing them
that way. But rosary bead bracelets are still seen, a subtle display of a person's
devotion to God and Mary. I sell many different kinds of rosary bracelets, from
inexpensive to gold over sterling silver. A rosary type cross and center made
of gold or silver are attached to most bracelets whose lengths are made up of
rosary style beads. I have silver or gold heart rosary bracelets and bracelets
formed by attached gold or silver crosses. Also at my site are rosary bracelets
made of gold or silver roses. Many people prefer to give gold as a gift so I sell
two models of gold bracelets: gold over sterling silver and the less expensive
gold plate. In addition there is a quantity of crystal, gemstone and pearl beads
to choose from. Each delicate bracelet is a unique sign of spiritual association,
perfect for a wedding, First Communion or Baptism, or simply to wear yourself
as your own personal symbol of connectedness with Christianity. |
