Rosary perpetual If
you are new to the rosary prayer, or even if the rosary has always been a
favorite devotion of yours, you might be interested in praying a perpetual
rosary. Perpetual means ³continuing forever², so you would be taking
part in a rosary that never ends, one that is everlasting, as the Father¹s
love for us is. There are several options for praying a perpetual rosary.
The most modern is ³The Perpetual Web Rosary² sponsored by Catholics
United for Life. At this site you can click on individual rosary beads as
you pray them. Wherever you stop on this perpetual rosary, someone else will
start, and so the rosary is continuous. Another way that you can say a perpetual
rosary is to join the Universal Living Rosary Association of Saint Philomena.
This association, founded by Pauline Marie Jaricot, has each member choose
one decade of the rosary to say each day. You will be saying a complete rosary
daily, because you are part of a group of fifteen, with each person assigned
a decade of the rosary. Our Church leaders, including our late Pope, have
encouraged the rosary prayer throughout Catholic history. Now, more than ever
before, we are in need of prayers for peace, and saying a perpetual rosary
is one way to achieve that end. |
