The rosary is the consummate family prayer of the Catholic Church and should be available to everyone. Many discount rosaries are made of cheap plastic, and while these are practical for teaching the rosary prayer to a class of children, they are not the quality beads that you would like to own or buy for someone else. Other so-called discount rosaries sell for twenty dollars, but the metal that joins the beads is cheap and likely to break.
