Dorothy is a saint who lived during the 2nd century in Caesarea, Cappadocia. Saint Dorothy was a young virgin who was imprisoned for her Christianity during the Diocletian persecutions. While she was in prison, two pagan women were sent to convert her to paganism but Saint Dorothy succeeded in converting the two women to Christianity instead.
Governor Sentences Saint Dorothy
Governor Fabricius was furious when he found out that Saint Dorothy had converted the pagan women. He sentenced her to be beheaded. As Saint Dorothy was walking to her execution, a lawyer by the name of Theophilus began harassing her. He told Saint Dorothy to send him back flowers and fruit from the Paradise she was dying for.
