The Irene Cross Meaning

The Irene Cross was created in memory of Saint Irene of Chrysovolantos. She lived a humble lifestyle in the monastery. She fasted daily, eating only the bare minimum to survive. She disciplined herself to pray for hours every day, asking God for power over demons. St. Irene was a miracle worker and converted women to become sisters of God.

The Irene Cross is designed with four Christian symbols on the ends of each cross bar of the crucifix which symbolize 'Christ the Conquerer'.
