Living a Christian Life

Some people may think that it is difficult to live a Christian life but Jesus did not leave his followers alone. He sent His Holy Spirit to guide and protect His believers. He also gave Christians the Sacraments to heal, strengthen, and feed the souls of those who love Him.

The Seven Sacraments:

* Baptism
* The Eucharist
* Reconciliation
* Confirmation
* Holy Orders
* Matrimony
* Anointing of the Sick

These sacraments are more than just symbols. They offer strength and grace to those Christians who receive them. They give followers of Jesus the spiritual power to walk in His path.

The Symbols of Christian Life

* Water - In Baptism, Christians are born again, washed in the grace of the Holy Spirit. Baptism is the gateway to Christian life.

* Dove - This is a symbol of the Holy Spirit which descends upon Jesus' followers during all seven sacraments. The grace of the Holy Spirit helps Christians who stumble and fall, ready to lift them up into fellowship with the Lord.

* Lamb - This Christian symbol represents Jesus. It symbolizes His life, His passion, His death, and His resurrection.

* The Holy Eucharist - The Eucharist is the sacrificial meal offered at every Mass. St. Paul said that the bread and the wine really become, by a miracle of God's grace, the actual body and blood of Jesus.

A Reminder to Those Living a Christian Life

Belief in the sacraments and in the symbols of Christian life brings all followers of Jesus closer to salvation and an everlasting life with Him in Heaven. Many followers of Christ wear Christian Life medals to strengthen them as they go about trying to live a Christian life.
