Faith in the Blessed Trinity
The greatest mystery of the Church is belief in the
Blessed Trinity. It is a belief of true faith in a dogma
that cannot be understood in human terms. Belief in
three persons in one true God is the basis of the Blessed
Trinity. Displaying this unquestioning belief in the
Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit as three entities existing in one God is
often seen as believers wear a gold Trinity pendant
or Trinity medal.
The following Blessed Trinity Prayers
are often recited by believers:
*Holy God, Holy Strong One,
Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us.
To you be praise,
To you be glory,
To you be thanksgiving
Through endless ages,
O Blessed Trinity. Amen.
*I venerate and glorify you, O most Blessed Trinity,
In union with that ineffable glory With which God the
Father, In his ominpotence, Honours the Holy Spirit
forever.
I magnify and bless you, O most Blessed Trinity, In
union with that most reverent glory With which God the
Son, In his unsearchable wisdom, Glorifies the Father
and the Holy Spirit forever.
I adore and extol you, O most Blessed Trinity, In union
with that most adequate and befitting glory With which
the Holy Spirit In his unchangeable goodness, Extols
the Father and the Son forever.
Amen.
*Family Trinity Prayer:
Father: The true God, One in Three and Three in One,
come, let us adore.
Family: The true God, One in Three and Three
in One, come, let us adore.
Father: Let us pray.
Almighty and everlasting God, Thou hast given to Thy
servants grace for professing the true faith and acknowledging
the glory of the eternal Trinity and in the power of
Thy majesty to worship the Unity; grant that by steadfastness
in the same faith we may evermore be defended from all
adversities. Through Christ our Lord.
Family: Amen.
Father: Be with us, O God, one and omnipotent,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Family: You are our hope, our salvation, our
glory, O Blessed Trinity.
Father: Blessed are you, O Lord, in the firmament
of heaven.
Family: Praiseworthy and glorious forever. Amen.
Father: Glory be to the Father and to Son and
to the Holy Ghost.
Family: As it was in the beginning, is now, and
ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
